This lovely vintage necklace is beautifully crafted and an unusual design. The 15ct gold has warm soft rose tone and was probably made in the late Victorian to Edwardian period. The opal is of excellent quality with the full spectrum of colours. The long double chain threads through the pendant and fastens with a swivel clasp, with the makers mark CDB.

The pendant measures 16.5mm x 17mm. The chain has a length of 31 inches (80cm)

This antique necklace is in good original condition, so has been cared for throughout its life, although some wear is visible. Our workshop has polished the gold chain to a bright shine. The chain and clasp are stamped 15ct, but I could not find an assay hallmark. We have tested the gold and confirm the purity.

This is a beautiful unique heirloom item, which can be worn, enjoyed and treasured for many more years.
